This year we are offering a workshop the day before the Grace Hopper Conference about a new and exciting technical area. As part of the workshop we are offering scholarships to attend, and I’d love for you to spread the word to students who may be interested in attending. The deadline is soon, currently July 16th. These scholarships are separate from the other Grace Hopper scholarships and are intended to allow students to attend the FDN workshop, although students can also attend GHC.

The workshop Feedback and Dynamics in Nature will be held October 4, 2006 in San Diego. The Workshop is co-sponsored by Princeton, UCSB, Caltech, and the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, and scheduled for the day before the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, at the same location. The workshop will focus on the importance of feedback and dynamics in biology, ecology, geology, and opportunities for interdisciplinary work in this area.
