UCB SPIM - Red Hat Linux binary distribution

The preferred method for loading the precompiled SPIM for Linux onto your home machine is to download spimsal-4.4.2UCB-2.i386.rpm (346Kbytes), a binary package for RedHat Linux 6.1 systems.

Then you can install it by running the following command as root:

   # rpm -ivh spimsal-4.4.2UCB-2.i386.rpm

It will be installed in /usr/local/bin/spim and /usr/local/bin/xspim, with support files (trap handlers, etc.) in /usr/local/lib/spim, and documentation in /usr/doc/spimsal-4.4.2UCB-2.

(We also have the source RPM (204Kbytes), and the patch and spec files for building the source RPM, if you want to build from source.)
