Carol L Marshall

 

I studied playwriting with the fantastic Susan Jackson at San Francisco City College.

I have had productions with Playground- San Francisco, Asian American Actors Ensemble and Marin Fringe, at various

venues throughout the bay area. I have also had staged readings with Three Wise Monkeys, Fresh!  New Works.

I have won a few awards, made many friends and cultivated even more memories.

What are you working on now?

I am turning around my Spielberg's directors cap and direcing "Tripping with Arthur Miller" by Norma Anapol for Marin Fringe April/May 2009 

 

If you were a tree what tree would you be?

A Bonsai cause it fits nicely on a porch and it keeps senior citizens busy

 

A favorite accomplishment this year?

I made a soufflé from scratch!

 

How did you get interested in theater?

When I was a kid my Mother worked for Walnut Creek city arts and she would drag me to the plays.  By age 12 I had seen Chekhov, Shakespeare, Williams and while I didn’t quite grasp depressed Russians, badly matched murderous Kings and Queens or repressed homosexuality, one day she took me to Jacque Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and I LOVED it and was hooked.

 

Who is your favorite Ex-President?

John Adams, good letter writer, great wife and solid beer drinker
