Netscape: Netscape Communicator for Linux

Instructions

This is Netscape 7.2 If your Linux installation is so old that it does not have Linux kernel 2.2 or glibc version 2.1, visit the web site for a version suitable for your installation, or upgrade your installation of Linux.

Installing:
1. Download the file netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz to your hard drive, in the /tmp directory.

2. Change to the /tmp directory and unpack the archive:

	% tar xzvf netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz

3. Change to the netscape-installer directory:

	% cd netscape-installer

4. Follow the directions in the README file.
