EECS40 Lab Information
Spring 2004

The purpose of this laboratory course is to teach students how to use electronic test equipment, to familiarize them with the characteristics of basic circuit elements (resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors) and to give them experience in building and debugging circuits. Students must successfully complete all of the experiments in order to receiving a passing grade in EECS40.

Grading (tentative):
In order to receive a passing grade in EECS40, students must complete each of the eleven experiments. This semester, each lab is worth 100 points. The breakdown is as follows:
NOTE:  ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!

Students are required to attend all labs. Missing a single lab will result in an automatic FAIL. If a students misses a lab, s/he may (at the TA's discretion) be given a chance to make up that lab no later than the end of the following week. This will however require substantial effort on the part of the student to ensure that a TA is present when the lab is made up and that the student's regular TA is informed about the make-up lab.
