Prerequisites: Basic E&M at the level of EE117A or equivalent. Basic Quantum Mechanics at the level of Physics 137A or equivalent. See me if you have any questions.
Grading Policy: Grade will be based on a combination of approximately 6 problem sets, a take-home midterm, a take-home final, and a project. The weighting factors:
15% problem sets, 25% midterm, 35% final, 25% project.
