EE 230 Solid State Principles for Applied Science and Technology Topics include: the relationship between solid state properties and symmetry, general characteristics of periodic structures and energy bands in particular; and finite structures such as reduced dimensional lattices. Also discussed are: mechanical effects such as phonons and their role in coherent and incoherent carrier transport, recombination, and electromagnetic properties. Instructor: Professor T. Kenneth Gustafson Office Hours: MW 10:00-12:00PM in 459 Cory Hall
Lecture: TuTh 8:00-9:30AM in 299 Cory Hall
