WHERE DID YOU GROW UP? WHAT WAS YOUR ACADEMIC PATH?

I grew up in the Bay Area, only about 15 minutes east of Berkeley in a town called Orinda.
I wasn't one of those people who always knew that they wanted to go to a specific university,
but choosing Cal felt right and I'm glad I'm here. I'm entering my senior year, and next spring
I will graduate with a B.A. in Computer Science.

HOW MUCH PROGRAMMING HAVE YOU DONE (& WHAT LANGUAGES)?

I didn't start programming until I took CS61A the spring semester of my freshman year,
so my experience is limited to what I've done in the past couple years. Currently, I'm most
comfortable programming in Python, C, Java, and Ruby.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

Cycling is definitely my main activity outside of schoolwork. I'm the president of Cal Cycling, and I
race for a local amateur team sponsored by Mike's Bikes and Equator Coffees.
Beyond that, I like doing anything outdoorsy, and I feel lucky to live in a place with such great access to
hiking, camping, and other activities.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR TALENTS AND SKILLS?

Well, I can ride my bike pretty fast :P.

HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING REMARKABLE? HAS ANYTHING MEMORABLE HAPPENED TO YOU?

I've visited 44 out of the 50 states.
I spent six months last year studying abroad in Australia.

WHAT COMMITMENTS WILL BE CONSUMING YOUR CYCLES THIS SEMESTER?

TAing CS61C
training and racing my bike
camping and hiking in state and national parks
