What was your academic path? (e.g. Did you live in the same town all your life or did you move around; and if so, where? Did you go to community college or another school before this one?) I lived in Plano, Texas for thirteen years before moving to California in 9th grade, where I attended Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose. I will be a junior studying EECS this Fall semester. My siblings and my father do computer-related work, and it got me interested in the field. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I did not have any programming experience coming into Berkeley, but I have taken the CS61 series as well as CS184 in my two years here in addition to EE40 and EE20. In this time I have learned Java, Python, C and C++. --> What are your hobbies? I have been a gamer since a young age and I expect that I will be one for many years to come. Some of my favorite genres are JRPG's and MMORPGs. I play League of Legends on a regular basis with friends, and I also enjoy watching anime, movies and dramas. --> What are some of your talents and skills? I have played the violin for ten years and participated in the symphony here at UC Berkeley for two semesters, and I also enjoy playing the guitar and piano. In high school I participated in the Math Club and attended competitions such as the AIME. --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) With the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, I have traveled to play in places such as Carnegie Hall and Prague's Smetana Hall. --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) In addition to taking class this summer, I will be a TA for 61C and a reader for CS70. I plan to stay active with an RSF membership and keep in shape.
