I grew up in a coastal city in China, also a bay area. I spent most of my life there, finished high school there and decided to come to Berkeley for college. --> How much programming have you done (and what languages)? I started programming in my sophomore year, which is surprisingly late. It’s my last year at Cal so I am taking my last couple of upper division classes. Languages I know are C, Java, Scheme, Python, Matlab, R, Javascript. --> What are your hobbies? My love of life is animals. That includes dogs, cats, bunnies, horses, bears, etc. I have a bunny named Messi. --> What are some of your talents and skills? I am very talented at being patient and tolerant, even when my bunny is chewing on my clothes and peeing on my bed. --> Have you done anything remarkable? Has anything really memorable happened to you? (e.g. travel, meeting famous people, 15 min of fame, inventions, overcoming adversity, etc.) I have been to the tallest mountain in the world. Well, I did not go all the way to the summit. I have been to the foot of the tallest mountain in the world:) --> What commitments will be consuming your cycles this term? (e.g. classes, jobs, family, commutes, volunteering, sports, student groups, etc.) I have a part-time job and I am also working as a peer advisor for math department.
