Topics Covered

The exam will cover all course topics through Chapter 1.7 of the lecture notes, except for decorators, which were not yet covered in lecture. Those topics include:

Particular emphasis will be given to user-defined functions, assignment, iteration, and higher-order functions.

You should be prepared to answer questions that relate closely to the projects and homework assignments (not including "extra for experts" problems). You should also know how to draw an environment diagram by hand.

Review Sessions

The main review sessions, which will cover the Midterm 1 Study Guide, will be held twice: 2pm-4pm and 4pm-6pm on Saturday 9/21 in 1 Pimentel.

Berkeley HKN will also hold a review session 4pm-7pm on Sunday 9/22 in 2050 Valley LSB. They provide this review session on a volunteer basis; please thank them for their service.

Make-Up Exam

A make-up exam will be held 5pm-7pm in 320 Soda for students with a direct class conflict with the exam time. To request the ability to take the make-up exam, fill out this conflict form. You must submit this form by 11:59pm on Friday 9/20. You will receive email before (or on) Saturday 9/21 confirming that you can take the make-up exam.
