Actually, you probably already have the Monty Hall code from the Examples CD. But, we've brought you here to remind you that this sort of clicking and finding things while following listed instructions will go completely away when we integrate SAIL and BlueJ. In the proposed course, there would be a single button to "initialize BlueJ" which would open the application and load the relevant projects. If you do want to get the code here, you can. Or, if you are having trouble getting the text-to-speech libraries installed, which is understandable, we have a version of the project that will work without it.
- The full project is here, the same as on the CD. Install it as per the instructions on the CD, with the added step that you need to "unzip" it first.
- The project without voices is here. To install this, simply "unzip" it and treat it like the folder on the CD (i.e., copy it to your local drive, and open it in BlueJ). You can avoid doing steps 3 and 4, involving FreeTTS, in the instructions.
Note: the voice code seems to work perfectly on Macintoshes, and on most versions of Java on Windows. But, until we get the installation to be automated, errors can crop up during the tailoring of BlueJ.
