The final will be held on Friday May 13, 11:30-2:30pm in 1 Pimentel.
Except of the last three lectures (4/20, 4/25, 4/27) all course material is fair game. Emphasis will be on the materials from probability onwards.
The final will be closed notes, books, laptops, and people. However, you may use two one-page (two-sided) cheat sheets of your own design (group design okay but not recommended).
You may also use a basic, non-programmable calculator, which is not required, but which may be helpful. (No TI-86's, iPhones, etc.)
Review Session 1 On Monday 5/2 from 5:30-7:00pm we will hold a final review session in 10 Evans. (This is not the standard lecture location!). Afterwards, we will also be available for questions.
Review Session 2 On Wednesday 5/4 from 5:30-7:00pm we will hold a second final review session in 10 Evans. (This is not the standard lecture location!). Afterwards, we will also be available for questions.
We have posted a practice final. We will give one percentage point of extra credit on the final for submitting your solution to the practice final by Monday May 2 at 5:29pm. We will then hand out the solutions to the practice final (in review session, and after review session in 283 Soda), and award an additional percentage point of extra credit for submitting your corrected version by Wednesday May 4 5:29pm. We recommend that you first work on the practice final for a 3 hour block on your own (simulating the actual final duration) and then afterwards discuss with other students.

Note we skipped influence diagrams and utility theory this year in favor of more machine learning.
You can also look at much older exams from other versions of the class, but be aware that the syllabus has changed over time.
