• [12/18/07] Project 6 is graded and will be in glookup on Wednesday. Most people lost points due to low accuracies in p5. If you have any grading disputes regarding the projects, please alert the course staff no later than 12/21.
• [12/14/07] Final review session: Sunday 12/16 from 6pm-9pm in 306 Soda.
• [12/11/07] Many of you experienced errors in emails from the autograder of project 4, please ignore this and we are trying to fix this immediately.
• [12/8/07] Final prep page is up.
• [12/4/07] The contest qualification deadline has been extended to 5pm on Tuesday 12/4, and the criterion for qualifying has been relaxed.
• [12/3/07] Ryan will be having extended office hours in 246 Cory from 2-6pm.
• [12/1/07] Project 6: you have 4 more project slip days to make time for the contest and you may use as many slip days as you have left for project 6.

• [11/13/07] Probability and BN Review Tonight: 6-9pm in 141 McCone run by Dan, roughly 6-7 basic probs, 7-8 BNs, 8-9 VPI / HMMs

• [11/8/07] To clear up any (cumulative) confusion about probability, there will be the following review sessions:
  • Friday 11/9 from 1-3pm in 405 Soda (by Simon) - in time for your battleship assignment!
  • Tuesday 11/13 from 6-9pm in 141 McCone (by Dan)
  Dan will cover probability in the first hour, Bayesian Networks in the second hour and HMMs in the third hour. Simon will do something similar in the two hours.

• [11/1/07] Grades for project 2 are now available on glookup. There were a lot of double submissions per team; we only graded the latest one (see the comment field in glookup for the timestamp of the submission we graded).

• [8/28/07] The python tutorial has been posted. Before doing the tutorial, have a look at the instructions for submitting assignments.
• [8/27/07] Waitlist: we've asked for a new room to accommodate the waitlisted students. Until we get one, space will be tight. Stay tuned.
• [8/27/07] There will be a Python tutorial lab Friday, August 31st from 10am-3pm, in Soda 275. You can arrive and leave as you like; the tutorial should only take an hour or two. You must complete the tutorial, but you may complete it at home if you choose.
