Written Assignments
Important Assignment Instructions! It is critically important that
you include the following pieces of information on any written assignment
you turn in:
-
Print your name clearly.
-
Print your class (or other) account clearly. (e.g., cs164-ab) (write
whatever login name you use when submitting PAs )
-
Print your TA's first name clearly.
-
Print your section time clearly. (e.g., Wednesday 2-3)
Without all of this information, the graders and TAs may have trouble recording
your grades and giving you the credit you deserve. For example, your login
name is needed by some of the bookkeeping software. In order to make sure
that you get credit for the work you have done, please include all four
pieces of information legibly on any written assignment you turn in (including
the first!).
If you have questions about what the assignments ask for, or hints on
how to do them, see your TA.
Grading
Written assignments are graded
pass/
no pass. Each question
is graded using the following scale:
-
0 - Mostly incorrect. The concepts were not understood.
-
1 - Mostly correct. The answers may have a few errors, but the concepts were understood.
A total of 50% of the points on the assignment is required for a
pass.
For example, on an assignment with 4 questions, 4 out of 8 points is required
to pass.
