AWE is a student origanization in UC Berkeley that supports fellow undergraduate women engineers to succeed in all aspects. AWE hosts various academic, social, and outreach events throughout the academic year. Our office is located in 286 Cory.

New Announcements:

[2/13/08] Wanted T-shirts!! The office needs a new curtain, and we would like to make it out of old company t-shirts! So if you have any old t-shirts from infosessions or career fairs that you would like to donate to us, please bring them by the office!

[2/12/08] Breaktimes for this semester are scheduled on every Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 at 711 Soda.

[3/17/08] AWE will be selling zip up hoodies at a discounted price of $15 to members and a non-discounted price of $30 to non-members.

Upcoming Events:

[3/22/08] Expanding Your Horizon - Expanding Your Horizons is a program at Mills College that teaches middle-school girls about science! AWE will provide rides to Mills College and will be hosting a workshop there; we will be teaching the girls how to make soda-bottle capacitors! If you are interested in helping out, please email Shelli at skinner@berkeley.edu.

[3/28/08] Shadow-An-Engineer - SWE at Cal is running the Shadow-An-Engineer program. In this program, students visit various companies in the bay area for a day, to learn about the work of engineers in the field. Accenture Technology Labs will be participating in this program and are inviting students over on March 28th.
