About AWE

AUWiCSEE was founded in 1992 by Farnoush Etemadieh. It was recently changed to AWE by June Andrews in Fall 2006.

Association of Undergraduate Women in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (AUWiCSEE), now known as Association of Women in EECS (AWE) is a student organization in UC: Berkeley. AWE hosts various academic, social, and outreach events throughout the academic year. They also host co-sponsored events with HKN, TBP, and SWE.

Although club membership is nondiscriminatory, only two males members are currently a part of AWE.
