Announcements

• 12/13/02 - Final grades are posted on the door to 125 Cory. Happy Holidays and have a great break!
• 12/09/02 - On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, professor Wawrzynek and TAs will be in the 125 lab during the day. Please use this opportunity to check your grades and bring proof for any missing grades. We will be happy to correct the master grade sheet, if we made a mistake. The last day to submit request any corrections is Wednesday.
• 12/06/02 - Exam III, Fri 06th 2050 VLSB do not miss it.
• 12/05/02 - CS150 Exam III review party with your favorate TA; 125 Cory from 1pm till start of Exam, come one, come all. Check your grades, ask question, or watch a movie. (no food or beverages provided)
• 12/05/02 - Take a look at the midterm 3 from last semester, (update to last question: there is a mux that allows the output of reg Y to reach the memory in addition to the output of reg X2).
• 12/05/02 - The midterm 3 will be held on Friday 12/06 from 4-7pm in 2050 VLSB. Notice it is not from 5pm to 8pm!
• 12/04/02 - The midterm 3 review session will be held on Thu Dec 5, from 5pm to 7pm in 100 Lewis. You must prepare at least two questions to ask during the review.
• 12/04/02 - It is very important that you show up for a checkoff this week, even if you do not have a working project. We would like to be able to give you partial credit for the work you have done after checkpoint 4. If we do not see you for a checkoff this week, we will base your grade on checkpoints 1 through 4.
• 11/25/02 - updated common_mod.v with untested behavioral code for Blockram.
• 11/25/02 - For your final check off: (1) complete and bring with you the Project Report, (2) submit Inidividual Questionnaire into the homework box.

• 11/13/02 - The Lab Lecture notes covering project grading are available here and in the "Materials for the project" section under "Refs/Links".
• 11/5/02 - To clear up some apparent confusion - Checkpoint 4 is worth 15% of the project grade, not half the project grade.
• 10/30/02 - Review session will be in 145 Dwinelle at 8pm today (wednesday).
• 10/23/02 - Checkpoint 2 Notes describing how to avoid common problems with I2C interface have been posted.
• 10/20/02 - The files for Checkpoint 2 have been updated. Please download a new copy.
• 10/15/02 - Read reference materials on the "Refs/Links" page. Ask questions! Make sure that you understand the key information in all posted manuals.
• 10/10/02 - Time to start the project! If you have no done so already, please find a partner in your lab section! If you need help finding a partner please email Norm: normzhou@cs.berkeley.edu with your name, lab time, and phone number(optional).
• 09/30/02 - Discussion section 103 (M3-4) has been moved to 125 Cory.
• 09/30/02 - Interesting article from AnandTech: "Inside ATI & NVIDIA: How they make frames fly", including examples of how HDLs and FPGAs are used in real life!
• 09/27/02 - Study the traffic light example and the edge detector circuit from "FSMs in Verilog" slides (ppt, pdf) presented during the lab lecture.
• 09/23/02 - Exam I review will take place on Tuesday, Sep 24. The lecture on "Logic Synthesis" is postponed until Thursday.
• 09/23/02 - The midterm 1 review session will take place on Wed, Sep 25, in 10 Evans from 8 to 10:30pm. Bring questions!
• 09/23/02 - The midterm 1 will take place on Fri, Sep 27, in Pimentel Hall from 5 to 8pm.
